It ensures progression and continuity across various stages of learning, incorporates continuous evaluation, review and remediation of children’s performance. It aims to develop skills related to writing, reading, reflecting, critical thinking, public speaking, fostering initiative among students and creating a desire to acquire knowledge. Academic subjects include English, Hindi, Marathi, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography and Computer Science. Art, Communication Skills, Physical Education, Socially Useful Productive Work (SUPW), Music and Martial Arts are integrated into the mainstream curriculum. Remedial teaching is done in class to help the children to understand the concepts better and to work with understanding. Assessments are summative along with orals or assignments (child-centric approach). We have incorporated Detailed Assessments for English, Mathematics and Science which is executed by ‘Educational Initiatives’ an institute that focuses on personalized learning with understanding. It is a customized assessment programme which presents immediate detailed feedback and enhances critical thinking and also caters to remedial teaching to make the concepts clearer and have a stronger base. The Middle School curriculum is built around the principle of knowledge, understanding, application and skill-sets.
