The premises of Kohinoor International School were resonating with excitement and an invigorating energy as it was all set to celebrate it's first festival since the pandemic; the auspicious festival of Gudi Padwa.
How could one miss the joy and the efforts put in to make this celebration a memorable one!!
A beautiful Rangoli adorned the entrance of the school where in a decorated Gudi attracted a twinkle up every eye.
The courtyard was dressed with traditional decorations which created the aura of festivities. The stage decorated with another attractive Gudi, festoons of orange and yellow marigold with mango leaves, the buntings hung all over and decoration of marigold flowers which added to the beauty to the celebrations.
It was a mindblowing sight to watch our wonderful students and teachers walking in with pride and head held high, dressed in the traditional ‘Navwari Saree’,/traditional attire to perform the lezim at the beats of the Nashik dhol and tutari / sringa.
Like said ‘Every auspicious beginning starts with a rendition to the almighty’, our principal Mrs. Deepali Nene and Mrs. Karishma Rohera - In charge of Kohinoor Blossoms lit the lamps to welcome the presence and blessings of the Mighty one. The blessings of Goddess of knowledge - Goddess Saraswati was invoked by singing the Saraswati Vandana.
The electrifying and breathtaking performance of the lezim and blowing the sringa/tutara by our awesome students took us back to the days of Shivaji Maharaj.
‘Shrikand Puri’ , a special Maharashtrian delicacy was served to every student and staff member.
This special occasion lit up children’s faces with smiles that were missed for the past two years.
